Four ways to work together
POET helps organizations understand what’s happening, make better-informed decisions, and deliver results. There are four ways to work together, depending on what you’re trying to accomplish. Every engagement is scoped around the outcome and priced as a fixed fee.
Before deciding what needs to change, it helps to understand what’s happening today. An assessment is a focused, fixed-scope engagement — typically two to four weeks — that looks beyond the surface to identify how the business or operation is working, where the opportunities and risks are, and what’s influencing results.
Areas of support may include opportunity, operational, business and/or program health assessments.
You receive an objective findings report, prioritized recommendations, and a decision-ready briefing for leadership.
Important decisions rarely come with perfect information. Through a monthly advisory retainer, you get ongoing access to executive and operational perspective — to examine options, challenge assumptions, and understand feasibility, risk, and operational implications before committing to a direction.
Areas of support may include executive advisory, operational feasibility, management operating system effectiveness, operational and process risk, and/or decision support.
You receive regular working sessions, on-call perspective between sessions, and review of plans and proposals through an operational lens.
A strong direction only creates value when it becomes action. POET provides hands-on leadership and structure for complex programs and transformations — scoped to the initiative, priced on the engagement, and accountable for momentum and outcomes.
Areas of support may include program management, transformation leadership, program governance, program recovery, implementation and execution support.
You receive program leadership, practical governance, risk and dependency management, and steady focus on the intended business outcome.
Lasting improvement depends on your people having the knowledge, confidence, and support to continue the work. POET builds practical capability through learning, mentorship, tools, and ongoing access to expertise.
Areas of support may include capability development, business mentorship, 1-on-1 lean six sigma project mentorship, learning and development, tools and resources, centre of excellence support, and/or an ongoing advisory.
You receive capability development programs, 1:1 mentorship, practical tools and resources, and support establishing or reinvigorating Centres of Excellence.
How engagements work

Conversation
We start with what’s happening and what you’re trying to accomplish — no prescribed answer, no assumption about what you need.
Priced on the engagement
POET doesn't bill by the hour. Each engagement is scoped around the outcome you're trying to achieve and agreed as a fixed fee before work begins. You know the investment up front — and POET's incentive is your result, not a timesheet.

Is POET the right fit?
Honestly — not for everyone. POET isn't the cheapest option, and doesn't try to be. If what you need is a report for the shelf, activity that looks like progress, or someone who tells you what you want to hear, there are firms that do that well. This isn't one of them. POET is for leaders who want a clear-eyed view of what's really happening, practical thinking grounded in operational reality, and the follow-through to make change last.

Not sure where to start?
You don't need to know which POET capability you need. Start with what's happening, what you're trying to accomplish, or where things are getting stuck. If that's what you're after, lets have a conversation.
